Because summer is for challenges this is, once again, for BSGFPB. The briefing was for something to help cope with stress. Because it's worked in the round (hate seaming) and had a fairly simple lace pattern which I memorized after the first couple of repeats, it was perfect. I admit, though, after a while (the sleeves) it just go so damn heavy I didn't really want to work on it. But I started a new job, and because it's a work from home deal I found it really hard to stop working and start just being at home, I needed something big to distract me.

Photo is kind of blurry. I changed the garter stitch yoke to a stockinette one because I felt that it was more seamless when going into the lace. I also skipped the YO increase under the bust and just did a M1 (I believe, might have been kfb) I also lengthened the sleeves. I love the sleeves!

Pattern: Feburary Lady Sweater

Yarn: Vanna's Choice in Dusty Blue, exactly 7 skeins (I barely had enough to weave in properly)

Size: 49.5 (although, I probably should have gone down, it's a little loose, but I was afraid if I went down to the 44, it would be too small. a 46 would have been perfect)

Needles: 5mm

Time: Approx 3 days.

Also, again for BSGFPB I made a Crochet Necklace for the Cylon Hybrid briefing. Originally, I was going to do fabric + knitting (a skirt) and then I was going to do knitting + beading (perdita) but finally settled on knitting + Crocheting. The chains are crocheted, and the flower is knitting.

Pattern: Crochet Necklace (chains) and #2 Flower Scarf from Vogue's anniversary issue.(knitting) 

Yarn: Bernat Satin in Bordeaux and Black 

Hook size: 6.5mm

Needle Size: 4.5mm

The flower is actually two flowers layered, and it's a bit heavy for the chains. If I were to make this again, I'd go with a lighter flower, for sure.
